The Spark of an Idea

The story of Swad-e-Pahad began with a moment of quiet nostalgia—one that turned into a mission. On a visit to his ancestral village, our founder tasted a piece of handmade bal mithai—soft, rich, and wrapped in the kind of care only tradition carries. But that joy came with a realization: such authentic sweets had become rare. What once united families and communities was now lost in modern packaging—or simply unavailable.

It sparked a powerful question: Why should the flavors of the pahad be limited by time or place?

The answer became clear during local festivals, when these sweets made brief, treasured appearances—only to vanish again for months. The problem wasn’t just scarcity—it was neglect. And like every good recipe, this challenge held an opportunity.

Swad-e-Pahad was born from this spark—to preserve, celebrate, and share the timeless taste of Uttarakhand, with purity and pride in every bite.
